Ineptness



Ineptness الخُرْق


1
. Ineptness is opposing [others’] views and having enmity with one who is capable of causing harm.

ـ الخُرْقُ مُعاداةُ الآراءِ، ومُعاداةُ مَنْ يَقْدِرُ علَى الضَّـرّاءِ

. Be cautious of ineptness for it is disgraces [one’s] character.

ـ إيّاكَ والخُرْقَ، فَإنَّهُ شَيْنُ الأخلاقِ

. The ugliest thing is ineptness.

ـ اَقْبَحُ شَيْء الخُرْقُ

. The worst thing is ineptness.

ـ اَسْوَءُ شَيْء اَلخُرْقُ

. Ineptness is a disgraceful attribute.

ـ اَلخُرْقُ شَينُ الخُلقِ

. Ineptness is the worst quality.

ـ اَلْخُرْقُ شَرُّ خُلق

. How bad a quality ineptness is!

ـ بِئسَ الشّيمَةُ الخُرْقُ

. The height of ignorance is ineptness.

ـ رَأسُ الجَهْلِ الخُرْقُ

. One whose ineptness increases is scorned.

ـ مَنْ كَثُرَ خُرْقُهُ اُسْتُرذِلَ

. How many an elevated person has been degraded by the ugliness of his ineptitude!

ـ كَمْ مِنْ رَفيع وَضَعَهُ قُبْحُ خُرْقِهِ

. It is from ineptness to make haste before [having] ability, and to act slowly after getting the opportunity.

ـ مِنَ الخُرْقِ العَجَلَـةُ قَبْلَ الإمْكانِ، والأناةُ بَعْدَ إصابَةِ الفُرصَةِ

. Increased ineptness is an abomination.

ـ مِنَ الفُحشِ كَثْرَةُ الخُرْقِ

. It is from ineptitude to let go of an opportunity when one is able to take it.

ـ مِنَ الخُرْقِ تَرْكُ الفُرْصَةِ عِندَ الإمكانِ

. Ineptness is not in anything but that it tarnishes it.

ـ ما كانَ الخُرْقُ في شَيْء إلاّ شانَهُ

. There is no quality more disgraceful than ineptitude.

ـ لا خُلْقَ أشيَـنُ مِنَ الخُرْقِ

. There is no attribute more belittling than ineptitude.

ـ لا خُلَّةَ أزْرى مِنَ الخُرْقِِ

	

	
	



	

		

The Loser



The Loser الخاسر والخسران


1
. Many a person who gains is [actually] a loser.

ـ رُبَّ رابح خاسر


2
. The biggest loser from among you is the most unjust from among you.

ـ أخسَرُكُمْ أظْلَمُكُمْ


3
. How great a loser is he for whom there is no share [of reward] in the Hereafter!

ـ ما أخْسَرَ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ نَصيبٌ

	

	
	



	

		

Submissiveness And Humility In Front Of Allah



Submissiveness and Humility in front of Allah, The Most High الخشوع والخضوع للّه تعالى

. When you are guided to your goal then be most submissive in front of your Lord.

ـ إذا أنتَ هُديتَ لِقَصْدِكَ فَكُنْ أخْشَعَ ما تَـكُونُ لِرَبِّكَ

. Everything is humble in front of Allah.

ـ كُلُّ شَيْء خاضِعٌ لِلّهِ


3
. Everything is submissive in front of Allah.

ـ كُلُّ شَيْء خاشِعٌ لِلّهِ

. One whose heart submits, his limbs [also] submit.

ـ مَنْ خَشَعَ قَلْبُهُ حَشَعَتْ جَوارِحُهُ

. Whoever is humble in front of the majesty of Allah, people become submissive to him.

ـ مَنْ خَضَعَ لِعَظَمَةِ اللّهِ ذَلَّتْ لَهُ الرِّقابُ

. The best form of obedience is submission and humility.

ـ نِعمَ الطَّاعَةُ الأنْقيادُ، والخُضوعُ

. How good a supporter of supplication submissiveness!

ـ نِعمَ عَونُ الدُّعاءِ الخُشُوعُ

. There is no worship like [that which is accompanied by] humility.

ـ لاعِبادَةَ كَالخُضُوعِ

. Humility means servility [in front of Allah].

ـ الخُضُوعُ دِناءَةٌ

	

	
	



	

		

The Foe Of Allah



The Foe of Allah من خصمه اللّه

. One whose enemy is Allah, the Glorified, his proof is refuted and he is punished in this world and in his Hereafter.

ـ مَنْ يَكُنِ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ خَصْمَهُ يُدحِضْ حُجَّتَهُ، ويُعَذِّبْهُ فِي الدُّنيا وَمََعادِهِ

. One whose enemy is Allah, his proof is refuted and Allah wages war with him.

ـ مَنْ يَكُنِ اللّهُ خَصْمَهُ يُدْحِضْ حُجَّتَهُ، وَيَكُنْ لَهُ حَرباً

	

	
	



	

		

Writing



Writing الخطّ والقلم والكتابة

. Put cotton in your inkpot, keep the nib of your pen long, leave space between your lines and keep the letters close to each other, for this makes the writing more beautiful.

ـ اِلْقِ دَواتَكَ، وأطِلْ جَلْفَةَ قَلَمِكَ، وفَرِّقْ بَيْـنَ سُطورِكَ، وقَرْمِطْ بَينَ حُروفِكَ، فإنَّ ذلِكَ أجْدَرُبِصَباحَةِ الخَطِّ

. Open the sharpened nib of your pen, thicken its point [so that it does not break easily] and cut the edge on the right side so that your handwriting becomes good.


2
ـ اِفْتَحْ بَرْيَةَ قَلََمِكَ، واسْمِكْ شَحْمَتَهُ، وأيْمِنْ قِطَّتَكَ، يَجُدْ خَطُّكَ

. Writing is the tongue of the hand.

. The imbuement of ideas is through deliberation.

. The daring risk-taker charges towards danger.

. Making many mistakes points towards excessive ignorance.

ـ كَثْرَةُ الخَطاءِ يُنْذِرُ بِوُفُورِ الجَهلِِ

	

	
	



	

		

Sincerity And Devotion



Sincerity and Devotion الإخلاص والخالص والمخلص

. Sincerity is in grave danger, until it is seen what it concludes with.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ خَطَرٌ عَظيمٌ حتّى يُنْظَرَ بِما يُخْتَمُ لَهُ

. Be sincere and you will attain [success].

ـ أخْلِصْ تَنَلْ


3
. Let your action, your knowledge, your love, your hatred, your taking, your leaving, your speech and your silence [all] be [sincerely] for the sake of Allah.

ـ أخْلِصْ لِلّهِ عَمَلَكَ، وعِلْمَكَ، وحُبَّكَ، وبُغْضَكَ، وأخْذَكَ، وتَرْكَكَ، وكَلامَكَ، وصَمْتَكَ

. Adopt sincerity in secret and in the open, fear [of Allah] when unseen and seen, moderation in poverty and wealth, and equity in satisfaction and anger.

ـ اِلْزَمِ الإخْلاصَ فيِ السِّـرِّ والعَلانِيَةِ، والخَشيَةَ فِي الغَيْبِ والشَهادَةِ، والقَصْدَ فِي الفَقْرِ والغِنى، والعَدْلَ فِي الرِّضا والسَّخَطِ

. Be sincere when you perform an action [and do it only for the pleasure of Allah].

ـ أخْلِصُوا إذا عَمِلْتُمْ

. Sincerity is the goal [of worship].

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ غايَةٌ

. Sincerity is [a means of attaining] success.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ فَوزٌ

. Being sincere is the best of actions.

ـ اَلإخلاصُ خَيْرُ العَمَلِ

. Sincerity is the fruit of worship.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ ثَمَرَةُ العِبادَةِ

. Sincerity is the attribute of the most excellent people.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ شيمَةُ أفاضِلِ النَّاسِ

. Sincerity is the highest [form of] success.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ أعْلى فَوز

. Sincerity is the worship of the Near Ones [to Allah].

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ عِبادَةُ المُقَرَّبينَ

. Sincerity is the goal of religion.

. Sincerity is the most honourable end.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ أشْرَفُ نِهايَة

. Sincerity is the fruit of certitude.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ ثَمَرَةُ اليَقينِ

. Sincerity is the foundation of worship.

ـ الإخْلاصُ مِلاكُ العِبادَةِ

. Sincerity is the highest [level of] faith.

ـ اَلإخْلاصُ أعْلَى الإيمانِ

. Sincerity in action stems from strong faith and righteous intention.

ـ إخْلاصُ العَمَلِ مِنْ قُوَّةِ اليَقينِ، وصَلاحِ النّـيَّةِ

. If you are sincere, you will be successful.

ـ إنْ تَخْلُصْ تَفُزْ

. Through sincerity, deeds are raised (i.e. are accepted).

ـ بِالإخْلاصِ تُرفَعُ الأعْمالُ

. Through sincerity, the doers of good deeds contend for excellence.

ـ بِالإخْلاصِ يَتَفاضَلُ العُمّالُ

. The true sincerity of a person makes his nearness [to Allah] greater and his reward abundant.

ـ صِدْقُ إخْلاصِ المَرْءِ يُعْظِمُ زُلْفَتَهُ ويُجْزِلُ مَثُوبَتَهُ

. Blessed is one who anticipates his death and makes his actions sincere.

ـ طُوبى لِمَنْ بادَرَ أجَلَهُ وأخْلَصَ عَمَلَهُ

. Blessed is he who makes his knowledge, his actions, his love, his hatred, his taking, his leaving, his speech and his silence sincere for [attaining the pleasure of] Allah.

ـ طُوبى لِمَنْ أخْلَصَ لِلّهِ عِلْمَهُ، وعَمَلَهُ، وحُبَّهُ، وبُغْضَهُ، وأخْذَهُ، وَتَرْكَهُ وكَلامَهُ، وصَمْتَهُ

. Blessed is he who proceeds with sincerity, acts with righteousness, acquires the reserves [for the Hereafter] and eschews [the disobedience of Allah] cautiously.

ـ طُوبى لِمَنْ قَدَّمَ خالِصاً، وعَمِلَ صالِحاً،وَ اكْتَسَبَ مَذْخُوراً، وَاجْتَنَبَ مَحذُوراً

. You must espouse true sincerity and complete certitude, for these two are the best forms of worship of the Near Ones [to Allah].

ـ عَلَيْكُمْ بِصِدقِ الإخْلاصِ، وحُسْنِ اليَقينِ، فَإنَّهما أفضَلُ عِبادَةِ المُقَرَّبينَ

. The goal of sincerity is [attaining] deliverance [from the punishment of Allah].

ـ غايَةُ الإخْلاصِ الخَلاصُ

. It is for making actions sincere that the people of intellect and understanding contend.

ـ فِي اخْلاصِ الأعمالِ تَنافُسُ اُولِي النُّهى والألْبابِ

. How can one be capable of sincerity when he has been overcome by vain desire?

ـ كَيفَ يَسْتَطيعُ الإخْلاصَ مَنْ يَغْلِبُهُ الهَوى؟ !

. One who devotes himself sincerely to Allah gains support for his life in this world and his Hereafter.

ـ مَنْ أخْلَصَ لِلّهِ اسْتَظْهَرَ لِمَعاشِهِ ومَعادِهِ

. One whose action is not accompanied with sincerity, [his action] is not accepted.

ـ مَنْ لَمْ يَصْحَبِ الإخْلاصُ عَمَلَهُ لَمْ يُقْبَلْ

. With sincerity, deeds are raised (i.e. accepted).

ـ مَعَ الإخلاصِ تُرْفَعُ الأعْمالُ

. No one preserves his reward except the one who makes his action sincere.

ـ لايُحرِزُ الأجْرَ إلاّ مَنْ أخْلَصَ عَمَلَهُ

. There is nothing better than making action sincere in [accordance with] its true intention.

ـ لاشَيْءَ أفضلُ مِنْ إخلاصِ عمَل في صِدْقِ نِيَّتهِ

. The sincere one is worthy of getting [his prayers] answered.

ـ اَلمُخلِصُ حَرِيٌّ بِالإجابَةِ

. One who makes his actions sincere, attains his hopes.

ـ مَنْ أخْلَصَ بَلَغَ الآمالَ

	

	
	



	

		

Sucession



Sucession الخلافة


1
. How strange it is that the succession [to the Prophet] is [decided] by companionship [only] and not by companionship and kinship.

ـ واعَجَبا أنْ تَـكُونَ الخِلافَةُ بِالصَّحابَةِ ولا تَـكُونَ بِالصَّحابَةِ والقَرابَةِ

	

	
	



	

		

The Caliphs



The Caliphs [Uthman and..] الخلفاء(عثمان و...)


1
. With Allah, the Glorified, lies the clear verdict between the appropriator [Uthmān] and the protestor [who was responsible for his assassination].1

ـ لِلّهِ سُبْحانَهُ حُكْمٌ بَيِّنٌ فِي المُسْتأثِرِ والجازِعِ

Disagreement



Disagreement الخِلاف والإختلاف

. Disagreement wrecks [good] ideas.

ـ اَلخِلافُ يَهْدِمُ الآراءَ

. Organized affairs are disrupted by disagreement.

ـ اَلاُمُورُ المُنْتَظِمَةُ يُفْسِدُهَا الخِلافُ

. The cause of disunity is disagreement.

ـ سَبَبُ الفُرْقَةِ اَلاِخْتِلافُ

. With disagreement there is no harmony.

ـ لَيْسَ مََعَ الخِلافِ اِيتِلافٌ

. From disagreement stems repulsion [and hatred].1

ـ مِنَ الخِلافِ تَـكُونُ النَّبْوَةُ

. Too much disagreement is discord.

ـ كَثْرَةُ الخِلافِ شِقاقٌ

. Disagreement is the motive for wars.

ـ اَلخُلْفُ مَثارُ الحُُروبِ

. Disputes demonstrate the foolishness of a person and do not increase his claim.

ـ اَلمُخاصَمَةُ تُبْدي سَفَهَ الرَّجُلِ ولاتَزيدُ في حَقِّهِ
