Chapter 11

Almighty Allah says:

O, You People!this world is a house for one who has no house. This world is wealth for the one who has no wealth. One who is nothave certaint of the Hereafter, collects wealth in this world. One who does not have trust in Allah, is greedy for this world. One who does not have knowledge of Allah, desires this world. So, one who takes of the exhaustible bounties in this short worldly life, and follows his perishable desires, indeed he has been unjust to his soul. That person is sinful to Allah and he has forgotten his hereafter. Thatpersons life has deceived him!

الحديث الثاني عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! أُذْكُروا نِعْمَتِي الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ؛ كَما لاَ تَهْتَدُونَ السَّبِيلَ إِلَّا بِالدَّلِيْلِ فَكَذلِكَ لاَ تَهْتَدُونَ طَرِيقَ الْجنَّةِ إلَّا بِالْعِلْمِ وَ كَمَا لا تَجْتَمِعُونَ الْمَالَ إِلّا بِالتَّعَبِ وَ كَذلِكَ لا تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلاّ بِالصَّبْرِ عَلى الْعِبَادَةِ فَتَقَرَّبُوا بِالنَّوافِلِ وَاطْلُبُوا رِضَائِي بِرَضاءِ الْمَساكِيْنِ فَإنَّ رَحْمَتِي لا تُفَارِقُهُمْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ أَبَداً

يَا مُوسَى!! اسْمَعْ مَا أقُولُ وَالْحَقُّ مَا أقُولُ إِنَّهُ مَنْ تَكَبَّرَ عَلى مِسْكِيْنٍ حَشَرْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلى صُورَةِ ذَرَّةِ تَحْتَ أقْدَامِ النَّاسِ وَمَنْ تَعَرَّضَ بِهْتْكِ سِتْرِ مُسْلِمٍ أهْتِكُ سِتْرَهُ سَبْعِيْنَ مَرَّة وَمَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِعَالِمٍ أوْ وَالِدَيْهِ رَفَعْتُهُ في الدَّارَيْنِ وَمَنْ أهَانَ مُؤْمِناً مُسْلِماً لِفَقْرِهِ فَقَدْ بَارَزَنِي في الْمُحَارَبَةِ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ مُؤْمِناً مِنْ أجْلِي صَافَحَتْهُ الْمَلائِكَةُ في الدَّارَيْنِ في الدُّنْيا سِرّاً وَفي الآخِرَةِ جَهْراً

Chapter 12

Almighty Allah says:

O, Sons of Adam!call to mind My favors which I bestow upon you. Without a guide you cannot find the way. In the same way you cannot find the way toJannat (heaven), without knowledge. You cannot gather wealth without struggle. In the same way, you cannot enter heaven except with patience inMy obedience. And you can get closer toMe by practicing supererogatory acts. And seekMy pleasure by pleasing thepoor.Indeed My pleasure never separates from you even for a blink of an eye. O, Musa!listen to Me!what I say and what I say is the truth. Indeed, one who has pride and does not associate himself with the poor, I will raise him on the day ofjudgement , the size of an atom under people’s feet. The one who disgraces a Muslim, I will disgrace him 70 times. The one who humbles himself before anA’lim (knowledgeable person) and his parents, I will raise his dignity in this world and in the hereafter. One who insults a Muslim andMo’min (believers) because of his poverty, indeed, he is calling me to fight with him. The one who loves aMo’min (believer) because of Me, Angels will greet him in both the worlds.In this world, secretly. And in the Hereafter, openly.

الحديث الثالث عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! أطِيْعُونِى بِقَدْرِ حَوَائِجِكُمْ إلَىَّ وَاعْصُونِي بِقَدْرِ صَبْرِكُمْ عَلى النَّارِ وَتَزَوَّدُوا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا بِقَدْرِ مَسْكَنِكُمْ فِيْهَا وَتَزَوَّدُوا للآخِرَةِ بِقَدْرِ مَسْكَنِكُمْ فِيهَا وَلا تَنْظُرُوا إلى آجَالِكُمُ الْمُتَأخَّرَةِ وَأَرزَاقِكُمُ الْحَاضِرَةِ وَ ذُنُوبِكُمُ الْمَسْتُورَةِ؛ وَ كُلُّ شَي‏ءِ هَالِكٌ إلَّا وَجْهِي وَ لَوْ خِفْتُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ كَما خِفْتُمْ مِنَ الفَقْرِ لأغْنَتُكُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا تَحْتَسِبُونَ وَ لو رَغِبْتُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَما رَغِبْتُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا لأسْعَدْتُكُمْ فِي الدَّارَينِ وَ لا تُمِيْتُوا قُلُوبَكُمْ بِحُبِّ الدُّنْيَا فَزَوَالُهَا قَرِيبٌ

Chapter 13

Almighty Allah says:

O, Sons of Adam!obey me to the extent of your needs towards Me. Disobey Me to the extent of your ability to tolerate the fire of Hell. Collect wealth in this world according to the length of your stay in this world. Collect for yourAkhirat (hereafter) according to length of your stay there. Do not think that death is far and that the Bounties (you receive from Allah) will always be available, or your sins are hidden. Everything is perishable butHe . If you would fear the fire of Hell as much as you fear poverty, surely I would have made you free by giving you countless Bounties. If you would desire heaven as much as you desire this world, I would have made you happy in both worlds. Love of this world makes your heart die and this world is going to be destroyed very soon.

الحديث الرابع عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! كَمْ مِنْ سِرَاجِ أَطْفَأتْهُ الرِّيحُ؟ وَكَمْ مِنْ عَابِدٍ أَفْسَدَهُ العَجْبُ؟ وَكَمْ مِنْ فَقِيرٍ أَفْسَدَهُ الفَقْرُ؟ وَكَمْ مِنْ غَنِيّ أَفْسَدَهُ الْغِنَی وَكَمْ مِنْ صَحِيحٍ أَفْسَدَهُ العَافِيَةُ؟ وَكَمْ مِنْ عَالمٍ أَفْسَدَهُ الْعِلْمُ؟

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! زَارِعُونِي وَ رَابِحُونِي وَاسْأَلُونِي وَ عَامِلُونِي فَإنَّ رِبْحَكُمْ عِنْدِي مَا لاَ عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَ لاَ أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ وَ لاَ خَطَرَ عَلى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ وَلاَ تَنْفَدُ خَزَائِني وَلاَ يَنْقُصُ مُلْكِي وَأَنَا الوَهَّابُ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! دِينُكَ لَحْمُكَ وَدَمُكَ، فَإنْ صَلُحَ دِينُكَ صَلُحَ لَحْمُكَ وَ دَمُكَ وَ إِنْ فَسَدَ دِينُكَ فَسَدَ لَحْمُكَ وَ دَمُكَ، فَلاَ تَكُنْ كالْمِصْبَاحِ يُضِي‏ءُ لِلنَّاسِ وَ يُحْرِقُ نَفْسَهُ بِالنَّارِ، وَ أَخْرِجْ حُبَّ الدُّنْيَا عَنْ قَلْبِكَ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَجْمَعُ حُبيِّ وَحُبَّ الدُّنْيَا فِي قَلْبٍ وَاحِدٍ أَبَداً كما لاَ يَجْتَمِعُ الْمَاءُ وَ النَّارُ فِي إنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَارْفَقْ بِنَفْسِكَ فِي جَمْعِ الرِّزْقِ، فَإنَّ الرِّزْقَ مَقْسُومٌ والْحَرِيصَ مَحْرُومٌ وَالبَخِيلَ مَذْمُومٌ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لاَ تَدَومُ وَالأَجَلَ مَعْلُومٌ وَ خَيْرُ الْحِكْمَةِ خَشْيَةُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ خَيْرُ الْغَنِى القَنَاعَةُ وَ خَيْرُ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَ شَرُّ صَلاَحِكُمُ الكِذْبُ وَ شَرُّ نَصِيحَتِكُمُ النَّمِيمَةُ وَ مَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ

Chapter 14

Almighty Allah says:

O, Sons of Adam!how many candles have been extinguished by the wind? How many worshippers’ worshiphave been corrupted by their pride? How many poor people have been corrupted by their poverty? How many wealthy people have been corrupted by their wealth? How many healthy people have been corrupted by their good health? How many scholars have been corrupted because of their knowledge? O, Sons of Adam!cultivate for Me and get benefited from Me. Ask from Me and do business with Me. Indeed, your benefits are fromMe ; they have not been seen by any eye, nor heard by any ear, nor thought of by any human mind. My treasure is endless. There will be no reduction in My Kingdom. I am the Most Generous Provider. O, Son of Adam!your religion is your flesh and blood. If you purify yourDeen (religion) you have purified your flesh and blood. If you have corrupted yourDeen (religion) you have corrupted your flesh and blood. Don’t be like a candle which is a light for people and burns itself out. Remove the love of this world from your heart. Indeed, I will not joinMy love and love of this world in one heart, as water and fire cannot join in one pot. Be moderate when you collect your provision. Indeed, the provision is already divided. Bounties are not permanent. Everyone knows of death. The greatest wisdom is fear of Almighty Allah. And the best of wealth is contentment. And the best of belongings is piety (taqwa ). And the worst of your weapons is lies and the worst of your advice is gossiping. Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants (37:82)

الحديث الخامس عشر

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لاَ تَفْعَلُونَ وَ لِمَ تَنْهَوْنَ عَمَّا لاَ تُنْهَوْنَ وَ لِمَ تَأمُرُنَ بِمَا لاَ تَعْمَلُونَ وَ لِمَ تَجْمَعُونَ مَا لاَ تَأكُلُونَ وَلِمَ التَّوْبَةَ يَوْماً بَعْدَ يَوْمٍ تُؤَخِّرُونَ وَبِعَامٍ بَعْدَ عَامٍ تَنْتَظِرُونَ؛ أَلَكُمْ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ أمانٌ أمْ بِأَيْدِيْكُمْ بَراءَةٌ مِنَ النِّيْرَانِ أَمْ تَحَقَّقْتُمُ الْفَوْزَ بِالْجِنَانِ؛ أنْظَرَتْكُمُ النِّعْمَةُ وَ غَرَّكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى طُولُ الآمَالِ؛ فَلاَ تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الصِّحَةُ وَ السَّلامَةُ فَإنَّ أيَّامَكُمْ مَعْلومَةٌ وَ أَنْفَاسَكُمْ مَعدُودَةٌ وَ سَرِائِرَكُمْ مَكْشُوفَةٌْ وَأَسْتَارَكُمْ مَهْتُوكَةٌ؛ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا اوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ وَ قَدِّمُوا مَا في ايْدِيكُمْ لِمَا بَيْنَ ايْدِيكُمْ

يابْنَ آدَمَ!! تَقَدَّمْ فإنَّكَ في هَدْمِ عُمْرِكَ وَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ خَرَجْتَ مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّكَ تَدْنُو في كُلِّ يَوْمٍ قَبْرَكَ فَلاَ تَكُنْ كَالْخَشبِ الَّذِي يُحْرِقُ نَفْسَهُ بِالنَّارِ لِغَيْرِهِ؛ لاَ إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ حَقّاً حَقّاً مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدِي وَرَسُولِي

Chapter 15

Almighty Allah says:

O, you who believe!why do you say that which you do not do ? (61:2). Why do you forbid that which you do not forbidyourself ? Why do you command that which you do notpractise ? Why do you collect those things that which you do noteat ? Why do you put off doingTauba (seeking pardon) day after day, and you wait year afteryear ? Have you gotten protection fromdeath ? Do you have the power in your hands to keep you from fire ofHell ? Do you have certainty of enteringHeaven ? Have the bounties given you a period ofgrace ? Have you become proud due to fulfillment of some of your unlimited desires by AlmightyAllah ? Thus, do not become proud of your good health and safety. Indeed, your days are known and your breaths are counted. Your secrets are open, your curtains are removed. So, fear Allah. O, you wise people!be careful of (your duty to) Allah. To protect yourself from the future, use the power you now have in your hands. O, son of Adam!look at your actions before you act. Indeed you are tangled in ruining your life. From the time you get out of your mother’s womb you are getting nearer to your grave. So, don’t be like wood which burns itself in fire for the sake of others. Indeed, indeed, there is no god but Allah. Mohammad (SAW) is my servant and my Messenger.

الحديث السادس عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! أَنَا حَيُّ لاَ أَمُوتُ؛ إعْمَلْ بِما أمَرْتُكَ وَانْتَهِ عَمَّا نَهَيْتُكَ حَتَّى أَجْعَلَكَ حَيّاً لا تَمُوتُ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! أَنَا مَلِكٌ لاَ أزُولُ إِذا قُلْتُ لِشَي‏ءِ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ أطِعنِي فِيْما أمَرْتُكَ وَانْتَهِ عَمَّا نَهَيْتُكَ حَتَّى تَقُولَ لِشَي‏ءِ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! إذَا كَانَ قَوْلُكَ مَلِيحاً وَ عَمَلُكَ قَبِيْحاً فَأنْتَ رَأْسُ المَنَافِقِيْنَ وَ إنْ كَانَ ظَاهِرُك مَلِيحاً وَ بَاطِنُكَ قَبِيحاً فَأنْتَ أهْلَكُ الْهَالِكِيْنَ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! لا يَدْخُلُ جَنَّتي إلَّا مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِعَظَمَتِي وَ قَطَعَ نَهَارَهُ بِذِكْرِي وَ كَفَّ عَنِ الشَّهَوات مِنْ أَجْلِي وَ َيُراخِي الغَرِيْبَ وَ يُوَاسِي الفَقِيرَ وَ يَرْحَمُ الْمُصَابَ وَ يُكْرِم الْيَتِيمَ وَ يَكُونُ لَهُ كالأبِ الرَّحِيمِ وَ لِلأرَامِلِ كَالزَّوجِ الشَّفِيق، فَمَنْ كَانَ هَذِهِ صِفَتَهُ يَكُونُ إن دَعَانِي لَبَّيْتُهُ وَإنْ سَألَنِي أعْطَيْتُهُ

Chapter 16

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam! I am Ever-living. I will never die. Act on what I have commanded. Protect yourself from what I have prohibited, so I can make you eternal. O, Son ofAdam!I am the king whose kingdom will never perish. When I say to a thingBe !it becomes. Obey what I have commanded and stay away from those things I have prohibited, to the extent that when you say to a thingBe !it becomes. If your sayings are sweet and your deeds are bad, you are the leader of the hypocrites. If your appearance is beautiful and your inside is disgraceful, you will be worse than those people who have been destroyed. O, Son of Adam!no one will enter my Heaven except: One who has humbled himself in front of My greatness. One who has spent his day inMy remembrance. One who has safeguarded his soul from lust, for the sake ofAllah. One who shows brotherhood towardstraveller . One who takes care ofpoor. One who is merciful towards theafflicted. And one who respects the orphans and acts as a kind father to them. And for the widows he is like a tender husband. The one who has these qualities, if he callsMe I will answer him at once and if he asks Me (for anything) I will give it to him.

الحديث السابع عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! إِلى كَمْ تَشْكُونَنِي وَ إِلَى كَمْ تََنْسُونَنِي وَ إِلَی كَمْ تَكفُرونَنِي وَ لَسْتُ بِظَلّامٍ لِعَبيْدِ وَ إلَى مَتَى تَجْحَدُونَ بِنِعْمَتِي وَ رِزْقُكُمْ يَأتِيْكُم في كُلِّ يَومٍ مِنْ عِنْدِي وَإلى مَتَى تَجْحَدُونَ بِرُبوبِيَّتي وَ لَيْسَ لَكُم رَبُّ غَيْرِي وَ إلَى مَتَى تَجْفُونَنِي وَ لَمْ أَجْفُكُمْ وَ إِذا طَلَبْتُمُ الطَّبِيْبَ لَِأْبدَانِكُمْ فَمَنْ يَشْفِيكُمْ عَنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ فَقَدْ شَكُوْتُمْ وَسَخِطتُمْ قَضَائي؛ وَ إذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدُكُمْ قُوتَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَقَالَ أَنَا بِشَرِّ وَ لَسْتُ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ جَحَدَ بِنِعْمَتِي؛ وَ مَنْ مَنَعَ الزَّكاةَ مِنْ مَالِهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَخَفَّ بِكِتابِي؛ وَ إذا عَلِم بِوَقْتِ الصَّلاَةِ وَ لَمْ يَفْرَغْ لَهَا فَقَدْ غَفَلَ عَنّي؛ وَ إِذا قَالَ إِنَّ الْخَيْرَ مِنْ عِنْدِي وَ الشَّرَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ ابْلِيْسَ فَقَدْ جَحَدَ رُبُوبِيَّتِي وَ جَعَلَ إبْلِيسَ شَريْكاً لِي

Chapter 17

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam!up to what extent will you forget Me? Up to what extent will you denyMe ? I am not in the least unjust to the servants. Each and every day you get your sustenance from Me. Up to what extent will you keep on denyingMy bounties? And up to what extent will you deny My Master-ship? You don’t have any other Lord besides Me. And how long are you going to treatMe rudely? I have never been unjust to you. When you are sick and require the help of a doctor; who is going to cure (intercede) for your sins? Indeed you complained and you are displeased withMy decree. If you don’t get food for three days then you say“ I am wicked I wasn’t pious”. Indeed, has he deniedMy bounties? And the one who did not giveZakat (alms) from hiswealth, indeed he has condemned My Book. And when he knows that it is time of payer and he does not pray, indeed he is careless aboutMe . And when he thinks that good is fromMe and evil is from Satan, indeed he has denied My Lordship and madeIblis (Satan) My partner.

الحديث الثامن عشر

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! إصْبِرْ وَ تَوَاضَعْ أَرْفَعْكَ وَ اشْكُرْ لِي أَزِدْكَ وَ اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي أغْفِرْ لَكَ وَ أدْعُنِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكَ وَاسْألْنِي أُعْطِكَ وَ تَصَدَّقْ لِي أُبَارِكْ لَكَ فِي رِزْقِكَ وَصِلْ رَحِمَكَ أَزِدْ فِي عُمْرِكَ وَ أُنْسِي أَجَلَكَ وَ اطْلُبْ مِنِّي الْعَافِيَةَ بِطُوْلِ الصِّحَّةِ وَ اطْلُبِ السَّلاََمَةَ فِي الْوَحْدَةِ وَالإخْلاَصَ فِي الْوَرَعِ وَ الزُّهْدَ فِى التَّوبَةِ وَ العِبَادَةَ فِي العِلْمِ وَ الغِنَى فِي الْقَنَاعَةِ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! كَيْفَ تَطْمَعُ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ مَعَ الشَّبَعِ وَ كَيْفَ تَطْلُبُ جَلاَء الْقَلْب مَعَ كَثْرَةِ النَّومِ وَ كَيْفَ تَطْمَعُ فِي الْخَوْفِ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مَعَ خَوْفِ الْفَقْرِ وَ كَيْفَ تَطْمَعُ فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مَعَ احْتِقَارِ الْفُقَرَاءِ والْمَسَاكِين

Chapter 18

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam!be patient and be humble and I will elevate you. ThankMe and I will increase your bounties. Seek pardon fromMe , and I will forgive you. Call upon Me, I will answer you. Ask of Me, I will provide for you. Give alms inMy way, and I will bless you with bounties. Be kind towards your relatives, and I will add to your age by delaying death. Seek fromMe good health as long as you are healthy. And while you are alone seek safety from Me. Seek sincerity in purity. Seek piety in repentance (Tawba ). Seek worship in knowledge. Seek independence in contentment. O, Son of Adam!how can you be curious of worship when your stomach is full? How can you enlighten your heart by sleeping a lot? How can you have fear of Allah with fear of poverty? How can you seek the pleasure of Almighty Allah by degrading the poor and the beggars?

الحديث التاسع عشر

يَا أَيُّها النَّاسُ!! لاَ عَقْلَ كَالتَّدْبِيْرِ وَ لاَ وَرَعَ كَالْكَفِّ عَنِ الأَذى وَ لاَ حَسَبَ أرْفَعُ مِنَ الأَدَبِ وَ لاَ شَفِيْعَ كَالتَّوْبَةِ وَ لاَ عِبَادَةَ كَالعِلْمِ وَ لاَ صَلاَةَ إِلّا مَعَ الْخَشْيَةَ وَ لاَ فَقْرَ إلّا مَعَ الصَّبْرِ وَ لاَ عِبَادَة كَالتَّوفِيقِ وَ لاَ قَرِيْنَ أَزْيَنُ مِنَ الْعَقْلِ وَ لاَ رَفِيقَ أَشْيَنُ مِنَ الْجِهْلِ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي لَاَََمْلَأُ قَلْبَكَ غِنَى وَ يَدَيْكَ رِزْقاً وَ جِسْمَكَ رَاحَةً؛ وَ لاَ تَغْفُلْ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَأَمْلَأُ قَلْبَكَ فَقْراً وَ بَدَنَكَ تَعَباً وَ صَدْرَكَ غَمَّاً وَ هَمَّاً وَ جِسْمَك سُقْماً وَ دُنيَاكَ عُسْرَةً

Chapter 19

Almighty Allah says:

O, You people!without thought there is no wisdom. By annoying others there can be no devotion. Family status is not higher than ethics. There is no intercession likeTawba (repentance). There is no worship like seeking knowledge. There is no worship without fear of Allah. There is no poverty without patience. There is no worship likeTawfiq (heavenly guidance). There is nothing nearer to a person than his intelligence. O, Son of Adam!by worshipping Me be independent from this world. I will fill your heart with independence and your hands with sustenance and your body with rest. Don’t neglectMy remembrance or I will fill your heart with poverty, your soul with difficulties, your body with sickness, your world full of afflictions.

الحديث العشرون‏

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! اَلْمَوْتُ يَكْشِفُ أَسْرَارَكَ وَالْقِيَامَةُ تَبْلُو أَخْبَارَكَ وَالكِتَابُ يَهْتِكُ أَسْتَارَكَ فَإذا أَذْنَبْتَ ذَنْباً صَغِيراً فَلا تَنْظُرْ إلَى صِغَرِهِ وَلَكِن اُنْظُرْ إلَى مَنْ عَصَيْتَهُ وَ إذا رُزِقْتَ رِزْقاً قَلِيلاً فَلاَ تَنْظُرْ إلَى قِلَّتِهِ وَ لَكِنِ اُنْظُرْ إلَى مَنْ رَزَقَكَ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! لاَ تَأمَنْ مِنْ مَكْرِي فَإنَّ مَكْرِي أَخْفَى مِنْ دَبِيْبِ النَّمْلِ عَلى الصَّفَاءِ في اللَّيْلَةِ الظَّلْمَاءِ

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! هَلْ أَدَّيْتُمْ فَرَائِضِي كَما أمرْتُكُمْ وَهَلْ وَاسيْتُمُ الْمَسَاكِينَ بِأَمْوالِكُمْ وَ أَنْفُسِكُمْ وَ هَلْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ إِلَى مَنْ أَسَاءَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَ هَلْ عَفَوْتُمْ عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَكُمْ وَ هَلْ وَصَلْتُمْ مَنْ قَطَعَكُمْ وَهلْ أَنْصَفْتُمْ مَنْ خَانَكُمْ وَهَلْ كَلَّمْتُمْ مَنْ هَاجَرَكُمْ وَ هَلْ أَدَّبْتُمْ أَوْلاَدَكُمْ وَ هَلْ سَألْتُمُ العْلَمَاءَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دِيْنِكُمْ وَ دُنْيَاكُمْ؛ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَنْظُرُ إلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَ لاَ إِلَى مَحاسِنِكُمْ وَ لَكِنْ أَنْظُرُ إلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَ أَعْمَالِكُمْ وَ أرْضَى مِنْكُمْ بِهذِهِ الْخِصَال

Chapter 20

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam!death will reveal your character. The Day ofJudgement is going to be a test of your deeds. Your book of deeds will reveal your character. When you commit a minor sin, don’t think of it as little but think towards whom you committed the sin. If you get little sustenance, don’t think of it as little, but think from whom you are getting it. O, Son of Adam!don’t become peaceful of My deceptions because My deceptions are concealed like the movement of an ant on a stone in utter darkness. O, Son of Adam!have you ever completed the commands which I have commanded you? Have you ever been nicer to the poor than you are to yourself by giving you wealth to them? Have you ever been good towards the people who have been bad to you? Did you forgive those who were unjust to you? Have you been kind to relatives who have broken off their ties with you? Have you ever been just towards those who are treacherous towards you? Did you talk to those who have left you? Did you teach your children good manners? Did you ask learned ones (Ulamas ) about your world and your Hereafter? Indeed, I will look at your beautiful faces and good appearance, but I will see your hearts and deeds, and will be pleased because of thesecharacterise .

الحديث الحادي والعشرون‏

يَابْنَ آدَمَ! انْظُرْ إلَى نَفْسِكَ وَإلَى جَمِيعِ خلْقِي فَإنْ وَجَدْتَ أَخداً أَعِزَّ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ فَصْرفُ كَرَامَتَكَ إِلَيْهِ وَ إِلَّا فَأكرِمْ نَفْسَكَ بِالتَّوْبَةِ وَ العَمَلِ الصَّالِحِ إِنْ كانَتْ عَلَيْكَ عَزِيزَةً، يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ يَوْمِ الوَاقِعَةِ وَ يَوْمِ التَّغَابُنِ وَ يَوْمِ الْحَاقَّةِ وَ يَوْمٍ كانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِيْنَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَ يَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ وَ يَوْمِ الطَّامَّةِ، وَ يَوْمِ الصَّاخَّةِ وَ يَوْمٍ عَبُوسٍ قمطَرِيرٍ وَ يَوْمٍ لّا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئاً وَ يَوْمِ الدَّمدَمَةِ وَ يَوْمِ الزَّلْزَلَةِ وَ يَوْمِ القَارِعَةِ، فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لِيَوْمِ مَوَاقِعِ الْجِبَالِ قَبْلَ الصَّيْحَةِ وَالزِّلْزَالِ إِذَا شَابَ مِنْ هَوْلِهِ الْأَطْفَالُ وَ لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِيْنَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا

Chapter 21

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam!look towards your soul and towards all My creatures. If you find one of them more honorable then yourself, be generous to him. Otherwise increase yourhonour by doingTawba (repentance) and with good deeds (if youhonour yourself). O, You who believe!remember the bounties of Allah bestowed upon you. Fear Allah before, the day ofjudgement : the great event (Waqia ), the day of calamity, the day which measures 50,000 years, the day in which all are speechless, the day when excuses won’t be accepted, the day of predominating calamity (Taamma ), the day when the deafening cry comes (Sakha ), the day of stern and distress, the day when no soulwil have power over anotheranother soul, the day of destruction (Damor ), the day of earthquake, the day of terrible calamity (Zilzala ). Thus: Fear Allah for the day when mountains will perish because of the earthquake;The day of horror that turns children into gray. Don’t become one of those people who will say we heard and we disobeyed.

الحديث الثاني والعشرون‏

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّه ذِكراً كثِيراً، يَا مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ يَا صَاحِبَ البَيَانِ اسْمَعِ كَلَامِي ألْوَاناً ألْوَاناً إِنِّي أَنا اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الدّيّانُ لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَكَ تَرْجُمَانٌ، بَشِّرْ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَ العَاقَّ لِوَالِدَيْهِ بِغَضَبِ الرَّحمنِ وَ مُقَطَّعَاتِ النِّيرَانِ، يَابْنَ آدَمَ إِذَا وَجَدْتَ قَسَاوَةً فِي قَلْبِكَ وَ سُقْماً فِي بَدَنِكَ أَوْ حِرْمَاناً فِي رِزْقِكَ. فَاعْلَمْ

Chapter 22

Almighty Allah says:

O, you who believe!remember Allah abundantly. O, Musa Son ofImran ! O, Master of expression, listen toMy different kind of words: Indeed, I am Allah the King who gives reward. There is no need of any interpreter between you and Me. Warn the one who takesReba’( interest) and the one who is disinherited by his parents (Aaq al-Walidain ). Warn him of wrath ofRahman (the beneficent) and flame of Hell. O, Son of Adam!when you find that your heart has hardened and there is disease in your body and you don’t find sustenance, then you should know that: Indeed, you have said something which has not benefited you. O, Son of Adam!your religion is not going to correct you until you straighten your tongue and your heart. And your heart is not going to be straightened unless you straighten your tongue. And your tongue is not going to be straightened unless you are humble towards your Lord. When you see the faults of people and don’t see the faults in yourself, then indeed, you have pleased Satan and angered you Lord. O, Son of Adam! If your tongue is (like) a lion and if you leave it alone, it will destroyyou, your destruction is because of your tongue.

الحديث الثالث والعشرون‏

يَابْنَ آدَمَ! إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِيْنٌ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوّاً فَعْمَلُوا لِلْيَوْم الَّذِي تُحْشَروُنَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فَوْجاً فَوْجاً. وَتَقِفُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَي اللَّهِ صَفّاً صَفّاً وَتَقْرَوْنَ الكِتَابَ حَرْفاً حَرْفاً وَتُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ سِرّاً وَجَهْراً، ثُمَّ يُسَاقُ الْمُتَّقُونَ إِلَى الْجِنَانِ وَفْداً وَفْداً وَالْمُجْرِمُونَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْداً وِرْداً كَفَاكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَعْداً وَ وَعِيداً، أَنَّكَ نَكلَّمْتَ فِيما لَا يَعْنِيكَ، يَابْنَ آدَمَ لَا يَسْتَقِيمُ دِيْنُكَ حَتَّى يَسْتَقِيمَ لِسَانُكَ وَ قَلْبُكَ وَ لّا يَسْتَقِيمُ قَلْبُكَ حَتَّى يَسْتَقِيمَ لِسَانُكَ وَ لَا يَسْتَقِيمُ لِسَانُكَ حَتَّى تَسْتَحْيِي مِنْ رَبِّكَ، وَ إِذَا نَظَرْتَ إِلَى عُيُوبِ النَّاسِ وَ نَسِيْتَ عُيُوبَكَ فَقَدْ أَرْضَيْت الشَّيْطَانَ وَ أَغْضَبْتَ الرَّحمنَ، يَابْنَ آدَمَ لِسَانُكَ أَسَدٌ إنْ أَطْلَقْتَهُ أَهْلَكَكَ وَ هَلَاكُكَ فِي طَرَفِ لسَانك. فَأنا اللَّهُ فَأعرِفُونِي، وَ أَنَا الْمُنْعِمُ فَاشْكُرُونِي، وَ أَنَا الغَفَّارُ فاسْتَغْفِرُونِي وَ أَنَا الْمَقْصُودُ فَاقْصِدُونِي، وَ أَنَا الْعَالِمُ بِالسَّرائِرِ فَاحْذَرُونِي

Chapter 23

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam! Indeed Satan is your openenemy, therefore regard him as your enemy. Do good deeds for the Day on which you will be present in front of Almighty Allah in groups. In front of Allah you will be lined up and you will read your book of deeds, word by word. You will be asked what you have done openly and secretly. Then pious people will go towards Heaven, group after group. And the sinful people will go towards Hell. Sufficient for you are the promises of Allah. And I am Allah you should know!Me!I am the Sustainer, thus thank Me. I am the Forgiver, thus seek forgiveness fromMe . I am the final destination, thus turn towardsMe . I am the Knower of your secrets, thus fearMe .

الحديث الرابع والعشرون‏

شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَ أُولُوا العِلْمِ قَائِماً بِالْقِسْطِ لَا إلهَ إِلَّا هُوَ العَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْإسْلَامُ بَشِّرْ كُلَّ نُحسِنٍ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَ كُلُّ مُسِي‏ءِ هَالِكٌ خَاسِرٌ وَ مَنْ عَرَفَ اللَّهَ فَأطَاعَةُ نَجَا وَ مَنْ عَرَفَ الشَّيْطَانَ فَعَصَاهُ سَلِمَ وَ مَْن عَرَفَ الْحقَّ فَاتَّبَعَهُ أَمِنَ وَ مَنْ عَرَفَ الْباطِلَ فَاتّقَاهُ فَازَ وَ مَنْ عَرَفَ الدُّنْيا فَرَفَضَها خَلَصَ وَ مَنْ عَرَفَ الآخِرَةَ فَطَلَبَهَا وَصَلَ إنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَ إلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُونَ،

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! إذَا كانَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى قَدْ تَكَفَّلَ لَكَ بِرِزْقِكَ فَطُولُ اهْتِمامِكَ لِماذَا، وَإذَا كانَ الخَلْقُ مِنِّي حَقَّاً فَالْبُخْلُ لِماذا وَ إِذا كَانَ ابْلِيسُ عَدُوَّا لِي فَالْغَفْلَةُ لِماذا وَ إِذا كانَ الْحِسَابُ وَ الْمُرُورُ على الصِّرَاطِ حَقَّا فَجَمْعُ الْمَالِ لِماذَا وَ إنْ كَانَ عِقَابُ اللَّهِ حقَّاً فَالْمَعْصِيَةُ لِماذَا وَ إنْ كانَ ثَوَابُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى في الْجَنَّةِ حَقَّا فَالاستِراحَةُ لِمَاذَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ بِقَضَائِي وَ قَدَرِي فَالْجَزْعُ لِماذَا لِكَلا تَأسُوا عَلى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَ لَا تَفْرَحُوا بِما آتِيكُمْ

Chapter 24

Almighty Allah says:

Allah bears witness that indeed, there is no god but He. The Angels and those who posses knowledge are maintaining (His creation) with Justice. There is no God butHe , the Mighty, the Wise. Indeed, the true religion with Allah is Islam (3:19). Give good news ofjannat (Heaven) to the benevolent people. And warn all sinful and ruined people that they are the losers. The one, who knows Allah and obeys His orders, has attained salvation. The one, who knows Satan and disobeys him, he is safe. The one, who knows the truth and follows it, is safe. The one, who knows falsehood and keeps away from it, has succeeded. The one, who knows this world and discards it, has purified himself. The one, who knowsAkhirat (Hereafter) and seeks it, has achievedit . Indeed, Allah guides whoever he wishes and towards him is your return. Oh, Son of Adam!if Almighty Allah has taken the responsibility of providing your sustenance then why are you struggling for it (in an unlawful manner)? And if it is true that all creatures are mine, why are you cruel towards them? And if you know thatIblis (Satan) is an enemy ofMine , then why are you careless? If the account on the day ofjudgement and passing theSirat (bridge to paradise) is true, then why do you collect wealth? And ifrecieving therewards of almighty Allah in Heaven is true, then why are you relaxing? And if all fortunes and misfortunes are fromMe , then why are you impatient? So you should not be disappointed when you lose something and you should not be so happy when you gain something from this world.

الحديث الخامس والعشرون‏

يَابْنَ آدَمَ!! أكْثِرْ مِنَ الزَّادِ فَإنَّ الطَّرِيْقَ بَعِيدٌ بَعِيدٌ وَجَدِّدِ السَّفرينَةَ فإنَّ البَحْرَ عَمِيقٌ عَمِيقٌ وَ خَفِّفِ الْحَمْلَ فَإنَّ الصِّراطَ دقِيقٌ دَقِيقٌ وَ أَخْلِصِ الْعَمَلَ فَإنَّ النَّاقِدَ بَصِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ وَ أخِّرْ نَوْمَكَ إِلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ فَخْرَكَ إِلَى الْمِيْزانِ وَ شَهْوَتَكَ إلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَ رَاحَتَكَ إِلَى الآخِرَةِ وَ لَذّتَكَ إلَى الْحُورِ الْعِينِ وَ كُنْ لي أَكُنْ لَكَ وَ تَقَرَّبْ إِلَيَّ باستِهانَةِ الدُّنْيا وَ تَبَعَّدْ عَنِ النَّارِ لِبُغْضِ الفُجّارِ وَ حُبِّ الأَبْرَارِ فَإنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ

Chapter 25

Almighty Allah says:

O, Son of Adam!collect provision (by doing good deeds) more and more. Indeed the way is long, very long. Steer your ship carefully - because the ocean is indeed deep, deep. Purify your deeds - because indeed, the Examiner is all Seeing. Lighten your weight- because indeed the path is thin, very thin. Delay your sleep for the grave and your pride towards the scale. And delay your enjoyment tillHeaven.And delay your rest till Hereafter. And delay your pleasures till you meetHoor (female angles) with big eyes. Be forMe and I will be for you! Seek nearness towardsMe by hating this world. Keep away from Hell fire by forsaking the wicked people and by loving pious people. Indeed, Allah will not waste the reward of the benevolent people to be lost.

الحديث السادس والعشرون‏

يَا بَنِي آدَمَ!! كَيفَ تَعْصُوني وَ أَنْتُمْ تَجْزَعُونَ مِنْ حَرِّ الشَّمْسِ وَ الرَّمْضَاء وَ إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَهَا سَبْعُ طَبَقَاتِ فِيْهَا نِيْرَانٌ تَأْكُلُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضاً وَ في كُلِّ مِنْهَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ وَادِ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ في كُلِّ وَادٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ شُعْبَةٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَ في كُلِّ شُعْبَةٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَدِيْنَةٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَ في كُلِّ مَدِيْنَةٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ قَصْرٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَ في كُلِّ قَصْرٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ دَارٍ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ في كُلِّ دَارٍ أَلْفَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَ في كِّ بَيْتٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ بِئْرٍ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ في كُلِّ بِئْرٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ تابوتٍ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ في كُلِّ تابُوتِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ شَجَرَةٍ مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ وَتَحْتَ كُلِّ شَجَرَةٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ وَتَدٍ مِنَ النَّارِ مَعَ كُلِّ وَتَ‏ٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ سِلْسِلَةٍ مِنَ النَّآرِ وَ في كُلِّ سِلْسِلَةٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ ثُعْبَانٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَطُولُ كُلِّ ثُعْبَانٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ دِرَاعٍ وَ في جَوْفِ كُلِّ ثُعْبانٍ بَحْرٌ مِنَ السُّمِّ الأَسْودِ وَ فِيْهَا سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ عَقْرَبٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَ لِكُلِّ عَقْرَبٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ ذَنبٍ مِنَ النّارِ وَطُوْلُ كُلّ ذَنبٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ فَقَارَةٍ وَ في كُلّ فَقَارَةٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ وَطْلٍ مِنَ السّمِّ الأَخْمَرِ فَبِنَفْسِي أَحْلِفُ وَ الطورِ وَ كِتَابِ مَسْطُورٍ في رَقِّ منْشُورٍ وَ البَيْتِ الْمغمورِ وَ السَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ والْبَحْر الْمَسْجُورِ

يَا بْنَ آدَمَ!! مَا خَلَقِتُ هَذِهِ النّيْران إِلَّا لِكُلِّ كَافِرٍ وَ بَخِيلِ وَ نَمّامٍ وَ عَاقٍ لِوالدَيْه وَ مَانِعِ الزّكاةِ وَ آكِلِ الرِّبا وَ الزّانِي وَ جَامِع الْحَرَامِ وَ نَاسِي القُرآنِ وَ مؤذِي الْجِيْرَانِ إلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَ آمَنَ وَ عَمل صَالِحاً فَارْحَمُوا أنْفُسَكُمْ يَا عَبِيدِي فَإنَّ الْأَبْدَانَ ضَعِيْفَةٌ وَالسَّفرُ بَعيدة والْحِمْلُ ثَقِيلٌ وَ الصِّرَاطُ دَقِيقُ وَالنَّارُ لظى وَالْمُنَادِي إسرافيلُ والقَاضِي
